Photographs made at the edge of disappearance — light describing a body a fraction of a second before it leaves the frame.
Varga works exclusively on expired 35mm stock, printing at scale so that grain becomes structure rather than texture. Her portraits refuse the descriptive; they record temperature, hesitation, breath.
Her second monograph, published by a.10 editions, gathers eight years of work made in a single north-facing room.
