a.10 began in 2018 as a single room with one window. It is now four rooms, still with the same window.
Zona Centro, Xalapa-Enríquez
We work with a small number of artists over long periods. Exhibitions are planned years ahead, editions are produced in runs of a few dozen, and the store carries only what we would keep ourselves.
The building holds a gallery, a store, a north-facing photo studio and a room that becomes a venue once a month. Nothing is separated by discipline; a ceramicist and a composer share the same programme.
a.10 is independent and self-funded, supported by the store, studio rental and the annual journal.
